Behavioral Concerns/Observations:
- Wilbur, due to undersocialization as a young puppy, can be reactive to other dogs
- He needs an adopter who will keep him busy as he is not a dog content to just lie around on the couch. He is quite high energy.
- Due to that energy as well as his tendency to jump to say hello, it is not recommended that Wilbur go to a home with young children.
- Wilbur has recently completed a 3 week board and train. Follow up training with Karli at Canine Cahoots to get the new adopter up to speed on his training is included in the adoption fee.
Meet Kobe/Wilbur.
Kobe was his name when he was first in the rescue in late September, he was returned as Wilbur.
"Wilbur is a handsome, smart, energetic boy. He knows many commands including sit, down, stay, place, heel, paw, and roll over. He is crate trained as well. However, like a lot of teenagers, he sometimes forgets his manners and jumps up to say hello instead. He gets crazy zoomies and loves his toys. Sometimes in his excitement he misses the toy and can catch hands instead. He doesn't mean harm just lots of excitement and energy. He wasn't properly socialized as a young puppy so he can be rude and sometimes reactive with other dogs so he would love the chance to get to be your one and only. You should also know he really loves armpit scratches, so please be willing to accommodate. Wilbur LOVES to work and play, he is not a chill-on-the-couch kinda dude, but if lots of fetch and training games and a high energy ready-to-go friend is what you're looking for he is your man. Because of his abundance of excitement we recommend he not go to a home with young children." - foster Karli
